About Judgment In Death:
In an uptown strip joint, a cop is found bludgeoned to death. The weapon's a baseball bat. The motive's a mystery. It's a case of serious overkill that pushes Eve Dallas straight into overdrive. Her investigation uncovers a private club that's more than a hot spot. Purgatory's a last chance for atonement where everyone is judged. Where your ultimate fate depends on your most intimate sins. And where one cop's hidden secrets are about to plunge innocent souls into vice-ridden damnation...

Review:
I actually stopped listening and reviewing this series for a bit because it was starting to feel like same old, same old. But after a while, I kinda missed it, so here I am again, listening to the next book in line. This installment of the series is still same old, but, maybe because I haven't heard this series for a long time and I was missing it, this book sounded very good indeed! Like re-acquainting with an old friend. This book displayed the same solid story building that I have come to know with this series. The plot is also well layered which I like. However, there is also a slight predictability factor which I've also noticed in previous books. In a crime fiction book, that is not a desirable trait.

One of the main clues are the presence of silver coins that Lt. Eve Dallas interpreted in her own way which I would not immediately associate in such a manner that begs to wonder if Eve is psychic... this tantalizing aspect is intriguing to me!

Pondering over the book after listening to it, it came to me that Judgment In Death is one of the more emotional books in this series. It'll make your heart ache, which adds a bit more emotional depth to the reading/listening experience.

After having to listen to Christine McMurdo-Wallis for the first few books in this series, I am very appreciative of Susan Ericksen's voice and narrative skills! I specially like the Irish accent she affects for Roarke. All in all, I enjoyed this book and looking forward to the next book!
