My Thoughts:
What caught me was the "intuitive rookie" line. I didn't know that I am a sucker for intuitive rookies until I bought this book!

But I always knew that I like talented underdogs.

Dang! This book made me cry! I was driving home from work and listening to the audiobook with tears running down my cheeks and my nose full of snoot!

These are trained police detectives with years of experience and they did not think of putting a tracking device on her?? I do not like too stupid to live (tstl) characters/scenes/story lines...

She's supposed to be intelligent. 150 IQ. And did not think of a simple, fundamental precaution such as a tracking device??...

Aren't police officers trained in first aid? So they know to put pressure on a bleeding wound? So, why didn't she?

And I was starting to like this book...

Soooo, not a fan of tstl!

Kate Handford did a wonderful job of bringing this book to life!
