Oh great post. As much as I do enjoy the fantasy in the books, it is nice to see a touch of reality mixed to make the torment and hard work feel worth it in the end.

My favorite I think would be witches. I love the magic and the torment they go through where others, similar to them but lacking magic, don't want them around either. ;) Thank you for the post!

I have to get back to reading Charlaine Harris and really should give an audio book a try. I haven't tried an audio in ages. The last one I tried had such a cruddy narrator that there was no way, but I suppose that is a big factor. Great review.
